Landscaping & Groundskeeping Worker

(Temporary, Full Time)

Landscaping and Groundskeeping Workers.

Sixty (60) temporary/seasonal/full-time positions with Tuck Landscaping, Inc. from 4/01/2023 to 11/30/2023.

Location: Murray, Utah. Tuck Landscape, 237 West Berger Lane, Murray, UT 84107

Duties: Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers will perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Must lift/carry 50 lbs when necessary. No experience, training, or education is required. The employer will provide on-the-job training.

Hours/Wage: 7am to 4 pm, 40 Hrs/week, overtime varies, Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturdays. Schedule may vary. Workers will be paid Bi- Weekly. $17.21/hr, $25.82/hr overtime.

Daily transportation will be provided from a central location to and from worksite to the following counties in Utah: Salt Lake County, Davis County, Weber County, Utah County, and Summit County.

A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the job.

If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for initial transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of employment for those traveling from such a distance they are not reasonably able to return to their residence each day. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved ($14/day, maximum $59/day with receipts).

H2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). This job is in connection with a future H-2B Foreign Labor Certification application.
